     Smart Peel Micro-Dermabrasion is a relatively new treatment in the U.S. It uses tiny aluminum oxide crystals under vacuum, to very effectively remove dead cell tissue from the outermost layer of your skin. Even though a series of 4-6 treatments is highly recommended, you’ll be able to see just how effective this treatment can be after your first visit. (You’ll probably notice the most improvement when you see yourself in the mirror you use to get ready with the morning after your treatment.)

     The micro-dermabrasion process relies solely upon the delivery, via closed-loop vacuum, of very tiny aluminum oxide crystals right to the surface of your skin. These crystals gently scrub away the layers of dead skin from your face, neck, hands, & décolleté or other troublesome areas in a matter of minutes. This new layer of skin more readily accepts skin care hydrating products giving you younger looking skin. Additionally, this treatment provides beneficial improvements for smoothing mild acne scars, age spots, fine wrinkles, rough irregular skin, hyper-pigmentation, and other troublesome skin irregularities.

     With virtually no healing time and only some occasional, minor discomfort and redness, this treatment is truly remarkable from a results perspective. For your comfort, every facial treatment includes a ten-minute soothing facial mask to leave you feeling refreshed and to decrease the windburn feeling some patients with very sensitive skin may experience. For further improvement and to aid in any mild discomfort you may experience after your treatment, we strongly recommend Pevonia skin care products for continued at-home skin care. It is very important not to use any products, including cleansers or moisturizers, on any areas that have received micro-dermabrasion treatments which contain alcohol or any other chemicals that may irritate the skin.      All the above rates are for a per session fee. Optimum results are obtained with 4-6 treatments, one every two weeks and then once every 2 months.
